ISE’s approach has always been to offer our members a variety of connectivity options to meet their particular trading needs. As speed and execution times are becoming more and more critical, we have expanded our connectivity options to include colocation services that will provide extremely low-latency connectivity alternatives.
Low-Latency Connectivity Services
Colocation
ISE is now accepting colocation services from our data center facility provider, Quality Technology Services (QTS). Members will contract directly with QTS who can provide rack space, power and a managed technology environment to ISE members within their space. They will then install a secure and certified cross-connect to connect members to the ISE servers located in the same building. ISE network operations will monitor the connection, similar to the monitoring of any other member circuit implemented by any provider.
Latency: Estimated at sub-200 microseconds
Connection: Ethernet cross-connect
Proximity Services
ISE now offers Radianz Proximity Solution, a secure hosting service from BT’s Nutley, New Jersey facility. ISE members can colocate their trading engines into this facility and leverage either Radianz Ultra service or an installed dedicated ISE communications presence for low latency and increased speed of execution. Members will be cross-connected directly to the ISE managed switches in the Nutley facility.
Latency: sub one-millisecond speeds
Connection: Ethernet cross-connect to a local access point
Radianz will also allow ISE members located in the Nutley facility to leverage other communications providers that exist in the building. These include RCN, Abovenet and AT&T. Members can use these services or the Radianz service to connect to their main offices, or as diversified connections to either of the ISE facilities.
